Cozy Canvas by AppCraftStudio · Last updated: 14 September 2026

Cozy Canvas is a relaxing picture tile puzzle game. This policy explains what information is handled when you play, who handles it, and the choices you have. The short version: the game itself does not ask for, collect, or store any personal information about you. The only data processing in the app comes from the advertising and analytics services described in Sections 3 and 4 — and, only if you choose to use it, the photo-sharing feature described in Section 5.

1. Information we collect

We — the developer of Cozy Canvas — do not collect, store, or share any personal information. The game has no account system, no sign-in, no forms, and no way for you to enter personal details. We do not have servers that receive your data.

2. Data stored on your device

Your game progress is saved only on your own device. This includes:

  • your current level and completed levels,
  • your hint balance and bonus progress,
  • the arrangement of an unfinished puzzle, so you can resume it,
  • settings such as sound and vibration preferences.

This data never leaves your device, is not readable by other apps, and is deleted when you uninstall the game or use the in-game “Reset progress” option.

3. Advertising

Cozy Canvas shows advertisements (banner ads, interstitial ads between levels, and optional rewarded ads) using Google AdMob, an advertising service provided by Google. To select and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect certain information from your device, which can include:

  • your device’s advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID),
  • IP address and coarse location derived from it,
  • device and network information (model, operating system, language),
  • ad interaction data (which ads were shown, viewed, or tapped).

This collection is performed by Google under its own policies, not by us. Please see:

4. Analytics

Cozy Canvas uses Google Analytics for Firebase, an analytics service provided by Google, to understand — in aggregate — how the game is played, so we can improve it. Firebase may automatically collect:

  • gameplay events (for example: a level was started, completed or skipped, a hint was used),
  • general usage information (session length, screens viewed, app opens),
  • device and network information (model, operating system, language, coarse location derived from IP address),
  • identifiers such as a random app-instance ID and your device’s advertising identifier (the Android Advertising ID, or on iOS the Advertising Identifier / IDFA where you have allowed tracking).

This information does not identify you personally and we never see names, email addresses, or precise locations. The data is processed by Google on our behalf under its own safeguards. Please see:

Cozy Canvas also uses Meta App Events (the Facebook SDK), provided by Meta Platforms, so that we can measure how many people install the game after seeing one of our advertisements on Facebook or Instagram, and so that those advertisements are shown to people likely to enjoy the game. Through this SDK Meta may collect:

  • the fact that the app was installed and opened, and the same gameplay events listed above (a level was started, completed or skipped, a hint was used),
  • device and network information (model, operating system, language, coarse location derived from IP address),
  • your device’s advertising identifier — the Android Advertising ID, or on iOS the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) — used to match an install to an advertisement. On iOS this is only available if you allow it at the App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, Meta measures installs only in aggregate through Apple’s SKAdNetwork.

We never send Meta your name, email address, or any account details, and the game does not offer a Facebook login. This collection is performed by Meta under its own policies, not by us. Please see:

5. Your photos and shared puzzles

My Photos lets you turn a picture from your own photo library into a puzzle. When you pick a photo, the app asks the system photo picker for that one picture only; it never scans or reads your library. The cropped puzzle copy is stored inside the app's private storage on your device, and the copy is a freshly encoded image — location and camera metadata from the original are not carried over. Photo puzzles stay on your device unless you choose to share one. Deleting a photo puzzle in the app deletes that copy; uninstalling the app deletes them all.

Share a link is optional. When you tap it, that one picture (together with the title you gave it and your suggested grid size) is uploaded to a database we operate on Google Cloud (Firebase, in the Mumbai region) under a random, unguessable code, and you get a link such as cozy-canvas-riyas.web.app/p/?id=…. Please note:

  • Anyone who has the link can view and play the picture. Shared puzzles are not listed, searchable or browsable — a link is the only way to reach one — but a link can be forwarded, so only share pictures you are happy for others to see, and never someone else's private photo without their permission.
  • No account or name is attached to a shared puzzle. We store the picture, its title, the grid size and the upload time — nothing that identifies you.
  • Shared pictures are kept until we remove them. To have a shared picture taken down, email the link to riyas.pk.29@gmail.com; we remove reported and requested pictures promptly.
  • If you receive a link showing a picture that is abusive, private, or infringes someone's rights, use Report this picture on the puzzle screen. Reports go straight to us for review.

6. Your advertising choices

You can limit how your data is used for advertising at any time from your device settings:

  • On Android, open Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads) to reset or delete your advertising ID, or to opt out of ad personalization.
  • On iOS, Cozy Canvas asks for permission before any tracking via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; declining means no advertising identifier is shared.
  • Resetting or deleting your advertising ID also breaks the link between your device and any advertisement you saw for this game on Facebook or Instagram. You can review and limit that use from Meta’s Ad Preferences.
  • Where required by law (for example in the European Union), you may be shown a consent message with choices about personalized advertising before ads are served.

7. App permissions

Cozy Canvas requests network access only, which is used to load advertisements and to send the anonymous usage and install-measurement statistics described in Section 4. The game is fully playable offline; without a connection, ads simply do not appear and no analytics are sent. The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, or files. If you use My Photos, the app opens the system photo picker so you can choose a single picture; it does not gain ongoing access to your photo library.

8. Children’s privacy

Cozy Canvas is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information in connection with the app, contact us at the address below and we will help address it.

9. Security

Because we do not collect your data, there is no developer-held copy of your information to secure. Progress data stays in your device’s protected app storage. Data handled by Google’s advertising and analytics services is protected under Google’s security practices, and data handled by Meta App Events under Meta’s.

10. Data retention and deletion

Locally stored game data and photo puzzles remain on your device until you delete them — by uninstalling the app, deleting a photo puzzle, or using “Reset progress” in the settings. Shared puzzles stay in our database until removed; email us the link to have one taken down. Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for Firebase for a limited period (by default up to 14 months) before being deleted or aggregated. For data processed by Google, see the Google Privacy Policy linked in Section 3 for retention and deletion options, including Google’s My Ad Center.

11. Changes to this policy

If the app’s data practices change — for example, if a future update adds new features or services — this policy will be updated and the effective date above revised. Meaningful changes will be reflected in the app’s store listing.
